A brand-new Islamic curriculum
built for Muslim prisoners

Did you know?

The average prisoner reads at a grade 6 level.

In fact, many prisoners in the US are close to illiterate. Others struggle with mental illness, learning disabilities, and trauma - all of which can make learning more difficult.

In this context, conventional textbooks written for proficient readers are simply unapproachable for most prisoners.

So we’re designing a new, approachable curriculum
for Muslims.

From what to believe and how to worship to spirituality and the biography of the Prophet ﷺ, this curriculum covers all essential knowledge and presents in an easy-to-read manner with plenty of illustrations and examples.

Never done before, except Islam99

There are no other offerings targeting Muslims with low literacy levels… except Tayba’s most-requested course, Islam99.

Designed entirely in-house by Tayba staff based on nearly a decade of experience of teaching Islam to prisoners, it has already been sent to over 6,000 Muslims behind bars.

Since its launch, we’ve continually received feedback and questions from our students and have been able to further improve on its contents.

We’re now in a perfect position to bring all this experience to the creation of a full, 6-course curriculum.

So, what is the curriculum?

Based on our decade of experience teaching incarcerated Muslims, we’re planning to cover the following topics in the new curriculum:

1. Essentials of Belief

Expanding from Islam99, this course will cover everything a new Muslim must know from Islamic beliefs [FULLY SPONSORED]

2. Essentials of Fiqh

Building on Islam99, this course will cover essential worship and beyond, focusing on the prison context [FULLY SPONSORED]

3. The Prophet ﷺ

This course will cover his life, biography, descriptions, and a look into the miracles related to his life. [FULLY SPONSORED]

4. Practical Spirituality

This course will focus on developing excellence in daily worship [FULLY SPONSORED]

5. Common Prohibitions

Common prohibitions of the tongue, eyes, and ears - knowledge that has kept many a student out of trouble in an environment where running your mouth to the wrong person could cost you your life

6. Rights of Parents & Kids

Many of our students have parents and/or kids on the outside and incarceration has strained their relationship with them. This course helps students address some of those issues and even creates da’wah opportunities [FULLY SPONSORED]

Also great for Islamic schools and homeschoolers

Islam99, our first textbook designed according to these new curriculum principles, has already been taught outside of prison in two states. We expect that this new curriculum will be great for Islamic schools and homeschoolers, since it will explain key Islamic concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

You can lay the foundation for thousands of Muslim converts to learn their deen

While it’s an ambitious project, you’ve already launched Tayba into the new year through the amazing December campaign.

With our current financials, we need just $35,000 more to produce and launch a 6-book curriculum and mail it to 3,000 students in 2021!

This will be THE Tayba curriculum for the years to come, insha’Allah (the old curriculum will continue to be used for advanced students).

That means you can lay the foundation for thousands (perhaps tens of thousands!) of Muslim converts to learn their faith in a way that they have never been able to before
