Muhammad Abdur-Rahman

Muhammad Abdur-Rahman, Enrollment Coordinator and Full-Time Instructor Instructor/Office Manager

Muhammad manages the East Office in North Carolina.

A series of bad choices led him to prison in 2002. He became a Tayba student in 2017, and quickly completed the entire curriculum, often taking 2 or 3 courses at a time while studying Arabic and serving as an Imam in different institutions and teaching Ta’Alim classes. Released in 2021 and hired as a grader for Tayba, he quickly moved up to Instructor of Maliki Fiqh, Adab, and Iman courses.

Muhammad opened the Tayba East Office in January 2022 and now works full-time for Tayba.  He is a personal student of Shaykh Rami Nsour and studies with other Shuyukh through online learning and Knowledge Retreats. Muhammad has 3 children and currently is enrolled in the ‘Alimiyyah programs of two Islamic Academies.

About Tayba, he says, “One of the main problems in prison is lack of education within the ummah, I am proud to be a part of the organization designed to eliminate this problem and educate those who need it. Allah (swt) has blessed me greatly by leading me to Tayba and Shaykh Rami.”
